Record Forge

Record your screen with live voice narration — trim it, save it, or send it straight to YouTube.

Capture options

When you click Start, your browser will ask which screen, window, or tab to share.

Need to show something on another MigaBuilder page while recording? Open it in a new tab (right-click a link → "Open in new tab", or Ctrl/Cmd+click) instead of clicking away from this tab — navigating this tab to another page ends the recording and loses it, since the recording only exists in this page's memory. Screen sharing lets you switch to any other tab or window without stopping the recording, as long as this tab itself stays open.

Trim

Record something first, then trim it here.

Recording happens live in your browser and never leaves it unless you use the YouTube button below. Screen recording needs a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) — it isn't supported on mobile.

Upload straight to YouTube

This is a public identifier for your own Google Cloud project, not a secret — see the setup steps below. Record Forge only sends it to Google, never anywhere else.

✓ Connected to your Google account.
One-time setup: get a Google OAuth Client ID (click to expand)
  1. Go to the Google Cloud Console, create (or pick) a project, and enable the YouTube Data API v3.
  2. Under APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen, set it up as "External", add the youtube.upload scope, and add your own Google account under "Test users" (this avoids needing Google's full app-verification review, since only you will use it).
  3. Under APIs & Services → Credentials, create an OAuth client ID of type "Web application". Add the exact URL this page is running at (e.g. https://your-username.github.io) under "Authorized JavaScript origins".
  4. Copy the generated Client ID (it ends in .apps.googleusercontent.com) into the field above.
  5. Click "Connect Google account" and approve access — Google will warn that the app is unverified, which is expected for a personal project; click through as the test user you added.

If any step here fails or your browser blocks the upload, you can always fall back to downloading the video file above and uploading it manually at studio.youtube.com.
