Jam Forge

Record several clips — or join videos you already have — and put them together: side by side like a band, one after another like a story, or taking turns like a conversation — even with a talking cartoon frog. Free and private in your browser.

Record a clip

Press Turn on camera to see yourself here.

Or add clips you already have: — or drop them anywhere on the page. Audio-only files get a cartoon character.

Clips

Drag ⠿ (or use ↑ ↓) to change the order, and untick In the video to leave a clip out. Start moves a clip later or earlier (in seconds). In One after another and Taking turns it is the pause before the clip — a negative number lets it start before the last one ends, like an interruption.

No clips yet. Record one above, or add video and audio files.

Make the video

The video is made in real time on your device, so a 1-minute song takes about 1 minute. Keep this tab open and visible.

Tips for a great result

🎧 Playing together from different places

Record the first clip (often drums or a click track), send the idea to your friends, and each person records their part while listening to the others in headphones. Add all the clips here, then press Sync by clap.

👏 Why clap?

Every recording starts at a slightly different moment. Clap once, clearly, at the start of each clip. Jam Forge finds the clap in each sound track and lines the clips up, usually to within a hundredth of a second. Fine-tune with the ±0.05 s buttons.

💬 Conversations and sketches

Record each line as its own clip — you can play both people yourself. Choose Taking turns: everyone stays on screen and the speaker lights up. Use a small negative start to make someone interrupt.

🐸 Talking to a frog (or a robot)

Pick Voice for a cartoon, choose a character and record the voice. The character's mouth moves with the sound. Change your voice, or ask a friend, for the best effect.

🔒 Private

Your camera, clips and the finished video never leave this device. Clips are kept in this browser (IndexedDB) so a reload does not lose your takes; Remove all clips deletes them.
