Coloring Forge

3,000+ free coloring pictures, tracing worksheets, Chinese writing practice, paint by numbers and mazes.

🔒 Photos are turned into pages on this device. Only the words you type for an AI coloring page are sent to Google Gemini.

Coloring page

Made by Google Gemini with your own Gemini key, in 10–30 seconds. Google gives no free picture credit, so the key needs billing turned on (about 7 US cents a picture). Save your key in Picture Forge (step 4, “Remember the key”) and it is used here too. Photo, mandala and alphabet pages need no AI.

Photos with a clear subject and a plain background work best.

Every press of “New design” makes a different mandala.

One letter makes an alphabet page (“A is for Apple”) with room to draw and a tracing line. A word or name is drawn in big bubble letters.

Each character gets a big model, its stroke order, three grey copies to trace and empty boxes to write on your own. Stroke data comes from the free Make Me a Hanzi project.

Paint by numbers

You get the numbered outline to paint, a colour key with a mixing tip for every colour (made from red, yellow, blue, white and black), and a page showing how it will look.

  3. Press “Add to book” for every page you like, then download the book as a PDF or print it.

What can I make with Coloring Forge?

Coloring pages from a free library of more than 3,000 pictures (animals, vehicles, food, fairy tales, flags with a colour guide and more), from a description (made by AI) or from your own photo, mandalas, alphabet pages, letter and name tracing worksheets, Chinese character practice sheets with stroke order (plus Japanese, Korean, Arabic and other alphabets), paint by numbers from a photo, mazes and a cover with your child's name.

How do I learn to write Chinese characters with it?

Pick a set of characters, such as numbers or family words. Each character gets a big model with pinyin and meaning, every stroke in the right order, grey copies to trace in a 米 grid and empty boxes to practise. Use Alphabet Forge to hear each character and watch it being written.

Do I need AI to get a coloring page?

No. The picture library has more than 3,000 ready pictures in 16 groups — animals, vehicles, food, fairy tales, people and jobs, sports, flags of the world and more. Search for a word, tap a picture and print. Flags come with a small coloured guide in the corner. Hand-drawn pictures are from OpenMoji (CC BY-SA 4.0); bold pictures are drawn with Google’s Noto Emoji font.

How does paint by numbers work?

Choose a photo and the number of colours. Coloring Forge finds the main colours, splits the picture into areas big enough to paint and numbers them. The colour key tells you how to mix every colour from red, yellow, blue, white and black.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photo coloring pages and paint by numbers are made in your browser. Only the words you type for an AI coloring page are sent to Google Gemini.
